08.2009 Snowboarding in NZ

This whole trip was planned because New Zealand's winter is our summer which means SNOWBOARDING!!! Unfortunately their snow wasn't very good.. so we did two days of boarding one at Whakapapa and the other day at Turoa. At both mountains the snow was horrible but we made the best of it... although I wish that snow was better.. having the bad conditions allowed us to experience other things to do in the beautiful North Island of New Zealand.

Rappelling in Waitomo Caves NZ 2009

We did some glow-worm cave touring in Waitomo which was a lot of fun. The best part of the whole experience was doing the Rappelling down 150 feet. I can honestly say that I didn't think I could do it I was so scared but we had amazing guides who convinced me to do it. The first time the guides came with us so it wasn't as bad but the second time around we had to go by ourselves.. so that I was a little freaked out.. but overall I am so glad that I did because it was awesome!!
