Priscilla's Wedding

So this was the first wedding that I have shot, of course with my digital SLR camera. You all know that I love my little point and shoot camera but learning this digital SLR is all brand new!

To prep for the wedding I did a lot of reading on my manual, digital photographer books, books on weddings, books on photo shop, took a few classes and of course had a lesson on photo shop with a good friend. So going into this wedding I felt that I knew enough to take some great pictures, but of course not perfect ones, not there yet!

Priscilla is a old childhood friend of mine and she was very kind to let me come and take pictures of her and her girls getting ready before her wedding! Being in the room with all of them was emotional and exciting all in one and I was able to capture moments that would last a lifetime. I took the (as the saying goes) "save shots" meaning all the pictures that are straight on and sometimes boring, but after those I did get creative. Shooting this wedding was so much fun, and it was such a learning process.

After shooting this wedding I did realize that I still have a lot to learn about my camera. But I was still impressed with the pictures I produced!

Thanks to Cilla for letting me be apart of your wedding day and giving me the opportunity to get the experience that I did!
